Sparkles - 7 years & under

These classes focus on the ballet and dance aspect of calisthenics.  The children learn classical ballet, jazz, musical theatre, and lyrical dances, as well as marching and gymnastic exercises. It is a less formal class and is often the first step in the children’s’ dancing journey. In addition to the Concert the children have the opportunity to perform their dances at events such as christmas carols and Fetes.

Novas - 8 years & over 

This is a Display team for Children 10 years and over.  Beginners often start their dance journey here before moving into the more advanced competition teams

Ballet, Flex & Strength

This class is compulsory for Soloists & open to all our pupils and held weekly at Robina. This class teaches the strength, flex and ballet techniques necessary for the more advanced gymnastic and dance movements.  This class also includes Dance skills Examinations.

Bright Stars - Acro Dance

This class is a specialized Acro Dance class that includes flex and strength conditioning.   Each child learns acrobatic movements appropriate for their skill level in a fun play based environment.   The group also participate in an acro dance item at the end of year Concert.

Shining Stars Competition Team - 12 years & under

This is a competitive team.  The pupils learn a variety of calisthenics routines in preparation for concerts and  eisteddfods.  The dances are varied & include ballet, jazz, lyrical, acro & musical theatre as well as Calisthenics rods & clubs routines.  The pupils benefit from strong ties to a team and camaraderie.

Rising Stars - 12 years & over

This is a competitive team.  The dances are more complex and modern than Shining Stars.  They include ballet, jazz, lyrical, acro & musical theatre.  They also prepare dances for competition in eisteddfods.

Super Stars Competition Team - 15 years & over

This class is for teens & young adults.  They tend to be more advanced and experienced although beginners are welcome.  Eisteddfods are optional for this group.  The dances include advanced acrobatics and dance. The routines are more innovative and include eisteddfod items.

Beyond classes

Some of our children have represented our State at 

National Championships. There are also programs such as skills Exams & Future stars programs offered to the more dedicated children. We have girls training as Class Assistants and Coaching Cadets. Pupils often go onto professional dancing, teaching & coaching careers.
